Course overview

Delivered to operator transport teams as a multi-module program, this course builds the ability to design, operate and troubleshoot Segment Routing over IPv6 networks. Day 1 establishes the foundation, so prior SRv6 knowledge is not required; the program concludes with an incident-driven RCA workshop.

Every concept is tied to what engineers see on the wire: SRH structure, SID behaviours, IS-IS and BGP advertisements and end-to-end packet walks, followed by control-plane and data-plane failure analysis.

Who should attend

  • IP/MPLS, core and backbone engineers
  • L2/L3 support, NOC and TAC engineers
  • Transport network design and optimisation engineers
  • Teams preparing for SRv6 deployment or migration

Prerequisites

  • Working understanding of IP routing, basic IPv6, IS-IS or OSPF and basic BGP
  • MPLS concepts and experience troubleshooting IP networks

Learning objectives

  1. 1Explain Segment Routing and SRv6 architecture and the IPv6 Segment Routing Header
  2. 2Design SRv6 SIDs, locators, functions and arguments and explain common endpoint behaviours
  3. 3Describe SRv6 control-plane advertisement with IS-IS and BGP and trace forwarding across a domain
  4. 4Understand SRv6 L3VPN/L2VPN services, traffic engineering, SR policy and Flex-Algo
  5. 5Troubleshoot SID reachability, locator, routing, SRH, MTU and service problems using a structured methodology
  6. 6Interpret packet-level SRv6 captures and conduct root-cause analysis for production-style incidents

Frequently asked questions

Live online programs are delivered in real time by an instructor over video with shared labs and interactive Q&A. Classroom programs are delivered face to face in Dubai or other GCC locations, with the instructor and lab environment in the room. Both use the same curricula and instructors.

Programs are built on 3GPP, O-RAN and industry standards and are vendor-agnostic by default. Corporate deliveries can include vendor-specific parameter mapping and scenarios where required.

Participants who complete a program receive a Teleriu certificate of completion. Teleriu programs are professional technical training and are not affiliated with any certification body unless explicitly stated.
