Huawei Optical Transport — OptiX OSN / OptiXtrans OTN & WDM
Design, configuration and operation of Huawei optical transport — OptiX OSN 9800/8800/1800 and OptiXtrans DWDM/OTN systems managed through iMaster NCE-T — for the metro and long-haul backbones carrying 5G, enterprise and data-centre traffic in the GCC.
Covers the HCIA/HCIP-Transmission domains for OTN and WDM. Independent training on Huawei technologies by practising engineers. Teleriu is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an authorised partner of Huawei; product names are used only to describe course content.

Course overview
Huawei OTN/WDM forms the backbone of most GCC operators and many government and utility networks. This program covers optical fundamentals as applied to Huawei equipment: boards and cards, wavelength and OTN service configuration, protection, performance and fault handling in NCE-T.
Includes the 5G-driven topics — low-latency xHaul, timing over OTN and capacity planning for 400G/800G upgrades.
Who should attend
- Transport and optical engineers
- NOC engineers supporting OTN/WDM
- Network planners for backbone capacity
- Engineers preparing for HCIP-Transmission
Prerequisites
- Basic transmission or networking knowledge
- No Huawei tool experience required
- Optical fundamentals helpful
Learning objectives

Frequently asked questions
No. This is an independent Teleriu program taught by engineers with hands-on Huawei deployment experience. Where a course is aligned to an HCIA/HCIP exam we cover the published exam domains, but the certificate issued is a Teleriu certificate of completion; the Huawei exam is booked separately by the participant.
Live online programs are delivered in real time by an instructor over video with shared labs and interactive Q&A. Classroom programs are delivered face to face in Dubai or other GCC locations, with the instructor and lab environment in the room. Both use the same curricula and instructors.
Programs are built on 3GPP, O-RAN and industry standards and are vendor-agnostic by default. Corporate deliveries can include vendor-specific parameter mapping and scenarios where required.
Participants who complete a program receive a Teleriu certificate of completion. Teleriu programs are professional technical training and are not affiliated with any certification body unless explicitly stated.
